The M5 screw allows you to modify the license plate holder so that it is no longer removable. So, if you're concerned about the appearance of the license plate holder but don't want a removable license plate, you can simply screw it in place with this screw.

License plate holders in Germany do not require an E-mark or ABE (General Operating Permit), but certain regulations must still be observed (e.g., turn signal spacing, license plate angle, etc.).
